There are enough things asking for your attention. The air in your home should not become another full-time job. ALEX is designed to sit comfortably in the background, helping you notice patterns that would otherwise be easy to miss.
Cooking dinner. Closing the windows for the night. A room filling with people. Everyday life changes indoor air. Our aim is to make those changes easier to understand, without turning your home into a collection of charts and warnings.

ALEX is being developed to bring together carbon dioxide, particulate matter, air pressure, humidity, formaldehyde, temperature, nitrogen dioxide, volatile organic compounds and carbon monoxide. Each is one part of the picture; no single number tells you everything about a room.
Understand
Put readings in context alongside the rhythms of your home and the people in it.

Use that understanding to consider everyday changes. A monitor provides information; it does not clean the air.

The intended experience is simple: touch your phone to the top for a quick reading, or open your browser for the fuller picture. We are designing ALEX around useful information that is easy to reach, rather than another app to install and maintain.
Product images and interface illustrations show the direction we are developing. Final specifications, connectivity requirements and supported phone features will be confirmed before ALEX goes on sale.
Clarity has its limits, too.
ALEX is an air quality monitor, not a medical device or a replacement for a certified smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. It cannot diagnose a problem with your health, promise a health outcome, or tell you that every possible pollutant is absent.
